Beginnings

The world-wide-web (WWW) was launched in 1991, but started gaining momentum by 1995 about the same time as SourceNet, later named INDiVO, was founded. Most companies and people knew very little about the internet. SourceNet helped educate businesses of its value and showed them a way to connect with a new generation of consumers (college students). We even offered managed hosting, since most didn’t have a clue how to create, manage or host a website, we made it easy!

And then there was… INTERNET. As part of the virtual primordial soup, graphics with text is Earth-shattering.

Before corporate websites were common, this Gainesville Acura dealership was already reaping the benefits of being online and having their service department, Pre-owned inventory and sales specials available to prospective customers 24/7 on the web.

Internet Expediency

IN THE DAYS OF THE DINOSAURS, FOLKS FILLED OUT PAPER FORMS TO PROVIDE REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Instead of mailing forms or having parents come in to provide needed information, we posted PDF forms on the website to make housing registration much more convenient for parents and students.

Virtual Tours Innovation

Before Virtual Reality, there were… slideshows. And SourceNet had ’em.

Eliminating the need for expensive brochures and the delay to mail them, we used slideshows to provide a virtual tour of the community and different apartment floor plans. For the first time, you could simply go to the WWW and “see” the community and the apartment you were about to rent which is really convenient when you live 3 states away.

From the company’s inception, we were focused on helping companies connect with customers. In the early days, that meant helping our clients attract and deliver an informative experience to young consumers that were early adopters of the WWW.

Amping up the visual volume with video helped underscore a unique marketing message.

By converting static brochures and handouts into multimedia shows with sound, motion and voiceover delivered via a CD-ROM, we helped clients connect with customers before bandwidth could support a media-rich, web-based presentation.

MAGNAVISION: The Frame Game that made Presbyopia fun

Using Adobe Flash Player’s interactive capabilities, a well-known reading glasses brand introduced a ‘try before you buy’ feature, allowing customers to virtually test frames before making a purchase.

CHESTPAIN PERSPECTIVES: Launching laboratory diagnostic training in an easy-to-access online format meant learning from home and outside normal classroom environments was now possible.

Y2K: Fresh innovation was upon us!

A new millennium brings fresh innovations as the name INDiVO is introduced, responding to client demand for full-service marketing communications support.

SourceNet & INDiVO

SourceNet continues as a hosting solution provider and the name Indivo is introduced to launch a more complete focus on creative marketing. Later, our brands would merge, and become INDiVO.

3D Animation Gets a Party Jumping

3D animation opens Smirnoff Twist premiere party in US market. Animations are projected on large screens throughout the venue; branded mini-CDs are distributed to attendees, a custom registration kiosk for data capture and advertising tie into the opening.

Online meets offline! INDiVO creates a custom package for an innovative start-up: A cost-effective solution with custom ecommerce platform for charity program donations, premium giveaways and traditional print support literature.

Customized Video Messaging
A new voice in the web wilderness
INDiVO created a new concept to bring the digital world to the Susan G. Komen foundation. LaCroix was a key sponsor of the 3-day walk for breast cancer and as part of that sponsorship we came up with the concept of allowing all the participants to record a video message at the registration event to talk about why they were participating and their story. We then provided the registrants a way to view the video on a web portal that was integrated to allow them to send out to their contacts to ask for pledges. Their contacts would be able to view the video and make a pledge from the portal and the participant was able to see the goal meter go up as pledges came in, as well as a multi-lingual educational CD-ROM that was given out full of multimedia content to ensure viewers understood breast cancer, how they can check for signs, and what to do about it.

SourceNet and INDiVO merge, and the SourceNet name is retired. INDiVO begins incorporating content management systems to allow our client’s and us to quickly update content to adapt to changes and market opportunities . INDiVO begins offering email marketing services under its own brand, IndivoMail.
